Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to this very special area where seniors are prioritized. Although this virtually occurs in multiple online sectors, in this moment, it materializes here, all well. Oh yeah! Since this site is all about consumer self-defense, and protection within the realm of home improvement, it's highly reasonable to render unique consideration to those who were here years before being senior was cool [of course given the significance of hybrid idioms]. Yet, aside from that, being this far along into the years can, and does have its challenges. We're not as young as we once were. So, there are some chores which once did which we can no longer do. There are usually a few 'strange and unusual' disabilities which we didn't have, but now have mixed views about owning.

Getting It Done

Essentially, when there are certain thing we're unable to accomplish, we rely a bit more on other to do them for us. Certainly, this isn't to suggest, in the least, that advanced age necessarily has to be synonymous with helplessness since most seniors are quite capable of doing quite a few things ourselves. Among these abilities are thinking and reasoning. These are our greatest natural powers; and they can lead us into trouble as well as lead us out. Subsequently, the overwhelming appeal in this arena is using more of our sense of reason to avoid home improvement fraud. And one of the most reliable ways for accomplishing this is taking the initiative to learn as much as we possibly can on how this is done.

Now there's a video up ahead about how a senior homeowner was fleeced for roughly $11,000. You need to see this, and pick up a thing or two that'll really be helpful towards refining your approach to hiring contractors. Will you do that? And please share your feedback in the Contact Form at the bottom of this page. Thanks.

The red flags were there—but Dan and Lydia Cox didn't notice them at first. After all, the Boston contractor they hired had a polished-looking website and great customer reviews.

That confidence would cost them dearly. In the end, as reported by NBC Boston, the couple was out $6,000 for a job that was never finished—plus $50,000 in damage to their home's foundation.
